Hội Làng: Phạm Tiến Tiếp × Rượu Làng Guest Shift at oMM Mixology
On 24 September 2026 – the 14th night of the eighth lunar month, the eve of Mid-Autumn – Phạm Tiến Tiếp stepped behind the bar at oMM Mixology for Hội Làng, a guest shift with Vietnamese rice spirit Rượu Làng. Before the streets filled with lanterns and crowds, guests gathered early beneath the moon for three cocktails built on memories of childhood Mid-Autumn nights. The evening was part of oMM's regular guest shift series, which brings leading bartenders from Vietnam and across Asia to Saigon.
Who is Phạm Tiến Tiếp?
Phạm Tiến Tiếp is widely regarded as a pioneer of Vietnam's modern bar scene and a "big brother" to the country's bartending community. His story is one of grit: a boy from the countryside who worked his way into hotel bars in Hà Nội, promised himself he would become the city's best bartender, and went on to take Vietnamese cocktails to the world stage. Across his career he has made a habit of pouring Vietnamese identity into the glass – through local ingredients, street food and the stories behind them.

Awards and milestones
First Vietnamese champion of Diageo Reserve World Class (2012) – he represented Vietnam at the global final in Rio de Janeiro (Viet Nam News).
Creator of the Phở Cocktail – developed while working at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, distilling the aromatics of Vietnam's national dish – star anise, cinnamon, cardamom and coriander – into a flaming cocktail (Tuoi Tre News).
Founder of Nê Bar – named Vietnam's best bar, ranked No.76 in Asia (2020) and No.220 in the world (2019).
Founder of Rêu Speakeasy Coffee and Attic Cocktail & Wine Lab, and former mixologist at Angelina Bar (Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi) and Press Club Hà Nội.
Brand Ambassador for Rượu Làng.
Rượu Làng: Vietnamese rice spirit, reimagined
Rượu Làng is a Vietnamese rice spirit from The Village Chateau Distillery in northern Vietnam, inspired by the rice-wine-making traditions of the region's villages. The young brand has set out to give rượu a place alongside sake, soju and baijiu, and won Double Gold at the SIP Awards in the United States (Vietcetera). As its Brand Ambassador, Tiếp brought Rượu Làng's village spirit to the bar at oMM.
Hội Làng: an early Mid-Autumn night
Hội Làng – "village festival" – invited guests to "meet early" on the 14th night of the lunar month, when the streets were still quiet but the festive mood was already in the air. Tiếp wove memories of Mid-Autumn celebrations into three special cocktails made with Rượu Làng, each telling a new story with that first, slightly tipsy sip. Alongside the drinks, a tò he artisan shaped traditional Vietnamese figurines from coloured rice dough, every first cocktail from the Hội Làng menu came with a piece of mooncake, and the night carried on until the "transition" into the 15th lunar day – Mid-Autumn itself.
The drinks
Sunflower – Làng Classic with dry vermouth, sunflower seed syrup, agave, elderflower liqueur, almond milk and lemon.
City of Stars – Làng Easy to Drink with star fruit cordial, tomato-seaweed syrup, pineapple juice, pink salt, lemon and soda.
Harvest Moon – Làng Thanh Long and Làng Classic with salted caramel syrup, lemon and smoky whisky, crowned with a salted egg foam.

Why Phạm Tiến Tiếp at oMM
oMM is built on respect for the ingredient: the team goes directly to growers, roasters, fermenters and distillers, then uses techniques such as vacuum distillation, centrifugation and infusion to draw out each ingredient's character – an approach shaped with creative advisor Shuzo Nagumo. Tiếp has spent more than a decade proving that Vietnamese flavours and spirits belong in world-class cocktails, which made him a natural guest for a night celebrating Vietnamese tradition.
