Guest Shift: Huu Phu at Ômm Mixology
The Chemistry of Curiosity
That night, Ômm turned into both a bar and a canvas. Huu Phu - Bartender of the Year 2020, known for bending the rules of flavor - brought three fleeting creations to life, each distilled from curiosity, courage, and craft. The collaboration with Glenfiddich 12 Sherry Cask unfolded as a sensory dialogue: whisky meeting imagination, oak notes colliding with the language of fruit, spice, and memory.
Three conversations in liquid form. Each sip spoke differently to each guest - some found serenity, others surprise - but all felt the pull of experimentation that defines Ômm.
-Chamomile Sour - where floral calm met sherry warmth; the texture of a golden hour suspended in glass.
-Lychee Cocoa Manhattan - the sweetness of a season layered with cocoa’s depth and jasmine’s whisper.
- Plum & Tomato Highball - an unexpected collision of acidity and fruit, the flavor equivalent of abstract art.
Between palette and palate
Amid the hum of conversation, the clinking of ice, and the faint scent of paint from the adjoining art studio, guests watched flavors being composed like brushstrokes. Whisky became water, became color, became emotion - a journey that blurred the line between taste and imagination.
It was a momentary exhibition of flavor, curated in the language of curiosity.
